Whew, finally i can put up this pic.

As a way of apology to ~shiverz for getting all those pageviews in a row during her pageview "contest", i present to you all, Disney's classy lady, Duchess

As ~shiverz mentioned once, she thought it would be interesting to see Duchess as an anthro. And i must admit i thought so too. Due to my wrist problems i never got round to actually drawing it, until now. I hope you like your present Shiv

Now for some info about this pic.

At first i wasn't sure of what kind of clothing i should give Duchess for this pic, so i tried various ideas ranging from modern style dresses to balroom gowns and even goth type clothing when i got carried away for a bit but none of those really did seem right for her. I even had the idea of putting her in some lingerie [sp?] but that just felt both awkward and somewhat wrong. Then i found that none of the outfits i thought of fit the time in which the story of the aristocats took place and i was about to give up untill i browsed through some reference pics of the aristocats and found this pic with Duchess sitting in Madame's lap. So i mostly took the design for the dress from Madame's ( i don't know her name, but i don't think she was ever named no? )

As for the hairstyle, that's just something i tried to give the whole image a more personal touch. At first though i wasn't sure if i should give her a hairstyle at all but after asking around most people thought i should give her hair as it looked better, so i went along with it after all and i think it worked out ok. I don't know what influenced the hairstyle however, other than this one being the easiest to draw but i get the feeling it was influence from another movie.
